Michael has extensive and varied professional coaching experience spanning four decades, including at the college and national levels. A former two-sport Division I college student-athlete, he has over 13 years of baseball coach experience in Arizona, has coached more than 1,000 games, and has run multiple successful baseball organizations. Michael is an active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association and has been recognized for his outstanding contributions, receiving three consecutive annual nominations for the prestigious local PONY Coach of the Year award and winning in 2021. After leaving Desert Mountain in 2025, Michael transitioned to the Chaparral staff, where he emphasizes academic excellence and prepares players for advancement to higher levels of play.
